On June 2, Strategy Executive Chairman Michael Saylor announced that the firm acquired an additional 705 bitcoin (BTC) for approximately $75.1 million, with an average price of $106,495 per coin. The purchase boosts the company’s total holdings to 580,955 bitcoin, acquired for about $40.68 billion at an average price of $70,023. The company also reported a bitcoin yield of 16.9% year-to-date in 2025. This latest acquisition reaffirms Strategy’s long-standing strategy of accumulating bitcoin as a primary treasury reserve asset, continuing a trend that began five years ago in 2020. The firm remains the largest publicly traded corporate holder of bitcoin by a wide margin, maintaining its lead as institutional adoption of digital assets gradually widens.
