Gains for Some, Losses for Grayscale’s ETHE: The Complex Landscape of Ethereum ETFs
So far, U.S. spot ethereum ETFs haven’t matched the performance of their bitcoin equivalents. Cumulative net inflows across eight funds have been dampened primarily by Grayscale’s ETHE outflows. Nonetheless, several funds have shown progress, with Blackrock‘s ETHA amassing $901.26 million in gains since Jul. 23. Hot on its heels is Fidelity’s FETH, which has collected $341.7 million thus far.
Bitwise’s ETHW fund claims the third spot by securing $299.66 million since its inception. Not to be overlooked, Grayscale’s Mini Ethereum Trust, dubbed ETH, ranks fourth in inflow gains, having amassed $220.65 million since its market debut. Following closely, Vaneck’s ETHV has accumulated $67.82 million, while Franklin Templeton’s EZET trails with a respectable $34.32 million.
Rounding out the group, Invesco’s QETH has attracted $14.3 million, and 21shares’ CETH has seen an uptick of $10.76 million since their respective launches. Combined, these nine funds hold a formidable $7.28 billion in ether reserves, representing 2.34% of ethereum’s net market value. Leaders in the space, Blackrock, Fidelity, and Bitwise, have also excelled in the spot bitcoin ETF market, joining Grayscale as top holders of both BTC and ETH assets among their peers.
