Hyperliquid’s 24/7 perpetual futures are now visible on the Bloomberg Terminal, giving institutional users real-time access to prices across crypto, commodities, equities, indexes, and FX. At the same time, a new USDC yield mechanism has delivered its first $14.58 million payment to the protocol’s HYPE-buyback fund.
Hyperliquid Brings 24/7 Perps to Bloomberg as HYPE Eyes Fresh High

Key Takeaways
- Hyperliquid perpetuals are now visible on Bloomberg Terminal across crypto and traditional markets.
- AQAv2 sent $14.58M in USDC to HYPE’s buyback fund, adding a new demand stream.
- The key test is whether institutional visibility and buybacks can push HYPE beyond $100.
Bloomberg Opens Hyperliquid Markets to Institutional Desks
Hyperliquid has crossed another line between decentralized markets and traditional finance.
Live data from the platform’s perpetual futures is now available on the Bloomberg Terminal, allowing professional investors to monitor Hyperliquid markets alongside traditional assets.
The integration covers instruments linked to oil, gold, the S&P 500, chipmakers, foreign exchange, and crypto, all trading around the clock on Hyperliquid.
Michael McDonough, Head of Market Innovation at Bloomberg Terminal, posted the information on X, with the feature now available for monitoring and price comparison. It does not allow users to execute Hyperliquid trades directly through Bloomberg.

Bloomberg Exposure Puts Hyperliquid in Front of Institutions
The significance is largely about distribution.
Bloomberg Terminal remains core infrastructure for banks, hedge funds, asset managers, and trading desks. Hyperliquid prices now sit inside the same professional workflow used to follow established global markets.
Crypto commentator based16z argued on X that the exposure gives fund managers “a new reason to remember crypto exists.” Others focused on the symbolism of institutional traders being able to watch decentralized markets operate continuously while traditional exchanges are closed.
For Hyperliquid, it strengthens the case that perpetual DEXs are evolving beyond crypto-native trading venues into broader market infrastructure.
$14.58 Million USDC Payment Opens New Buyback Stream
Hyperliquid is also adding another funding source for HYPE purchases. The protocol received its first $14.58 million USDC payment under the AQAv2 framework, covering 30 days.
Under the mechanism, roughly 90% of cost-adjusted reserve yield generated from USDC supply is shared with Hyperliquid and directed to the Assistance Fund, which buys HYPE.
That means token buybacks are no longer funded only by trading fees.
With roughly $7.3 billion in outstanding USDC supply, Arete Capital Managing Partner McKenna estimated on X that the mechanism could add approximately $200 million in annual revenue at current rates. Broader estimates combining protocol fees and reserve income suggest substantially greater annual buyback capacity if activity continues scaling.
HYPE Tops $95 as Holder Base Expands
HYPE traded above $95 following the developments, putting the $100 level back into focus among traders. While the price of HYPE has recently dipped to below $93, the late Monday high puts the token close to its all-time high mark of $97.96 set in September.
The holder base is also expanding. According to Hyperliquid News, more than 50,000 wallets now hold over 10 HYPE, the highest figure since Aug. 15.

The Bloomberg integration alone does not create demand, nor does the USDC payment guarantee higher token prices.
Together, however, they highlight two parts of Hyperliquid’s strategy: make its markets increasingly visible to traditional finance while directing more of the economics generated on its platform back toward HYPE.
That combination is becoming difficult for both crypto traders and institutional desks to ignore.
