Trader Willy Woo reflected on market trends and the behavior of altcoins in what he called this third alt-cycle. This cycle, Woo stated, is marked by the emergence of meme coins, “a piss-take on the crypto space.” Unlike the last cycle, which Woo linked to the appearance of decentralized finance ( defi), he believes this time, there is “no pretense that it’s trying to be disruptive world-changing tech, just an honest bubble casino.” Nonetheless, he states that alt seasons might keep happening in the future, but with less intensity than before. “I think retail may be getting it. And normally it takes 3 tries at a thing to learn,” he concluded.
