Utila has announced the successful completion of an $18 million Series A funding round, led by Nyca Partners, to enhance its institutional digital asset operations platform. The company, which has processed $35 billion in digital asset transactions over the past 18 months, aims to scale its global operations and expand research and development efforts with the new financing. Utila’s platform provides secure, institutional-grade solutions for organizations engaging in digital asset operations, including enterprise-grade MPC (Multi-Party Computation) wallets and robust APIs. MPC enhances security by distributing control of private keys among multiple parties, protecting against key mismanagement and insider threats. The funding comes amid the global rise of stablecoins, which reached $27.6 trillion in transfers in 2024.
