US Lawmakers Submit Resolution Urging Nigeria to Release Jailed Binance Executive

U.S. lawmakers have submitted a resolution calling on the Nigerian government to immediately release the jailed Binance executive, Tigran Gambaryan. In the resolution submitted to the Committee on Foreign Affairs, the lawmakers urge the United States government to utilize all available resources to secure Gambaryan’s release. The resolution also asks the Biden administration to formally declare the detained Binance employee a U.S. citizen wrongfully held by a foreign government. To Nigerian authorities, the resolution emphasizes that Gambaryan should receive unrestricted medical access and necessary care. Additionally, the lawmakers request that the Nigerian government uphold due process rights and universally recognized human rights of the Binance employee.
