Trump’s World Liberty Financial Token Sale Kicks Off: 644M Tokens Sold

On Tuesday, former President Donald Trump announced on X that the “World Liberty Financial token sale is now live.” He added that “ crypto is the future” and urged everyone to adopt “this incredible technology.” At the moment, the price for one WLFI token stands at $0.015, and as of 8:36 p.m. Eastern Time, a total of 644.98 million tokens have been sold. The Trump-backed project aims to sell 19.355 billion WLFI in total. Visitors to the website can make purchases using ETH, USDT, USDC, or wrapped ether (WETH). At the top of the website, a clear warning is displayed: “The tokens in the U.S. token sale have not been registered under the U.S. Securities Act or any other law or with any regulatory authority. World Liberty Financial does not consider the tokens to be securities but the tokens offered in this U.S. token sale may only be sold to persons who have been verified as accredited investors under Rule 506(c) of Regulation D under the Securities Act.”
