Strategy Bolsters Bitcoin Reserve With 1,045 BTC, Total Hits 582,000 Coins

Software intelligence firm Microstrategy (Nasdaq: MSTR), which has rebranded as Strategy, announced on June 9 that it has acquired an additional 1,045 bitcoin for approximately $110.2 million. According to the company’s filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), the purchase took place between June 2 and June 8 at an average price of $105,426 per coin. With this latest acquisition, Strategy now holds 582,000 BTC, purchased for a total of roughly $40.79 billion at an average price of $70,086 per bitcoin.

Executive Chairman Michael Saylor emphasized the milestone on social media platform X, stating:

Strategy has acquired 1,045 BTC for ~$110.2 million at ~$105,426 per bitcoin and has achieved BTC Yield of 17.1% YTD 2025. As of 6/8/2025, we hodl 582,000 BTC acquired for ~$40.79 billion at ~$70,086 per bitcoin.

The bitcoin was acquired using proceeds from Strategy’s ongoing at-the-market (ATM) equity offerings. In the same reporting period, the company raised $112.2 million through the sale of 626,639 STRK and 432,679 STRF preferred shares. The ATM programs—launched earlier this year—total $44.1 billion in authorized capacity, with over $41 billion still available. Strategy’s aggressive capital markets activity underscores its deep commitment to expanding its bitcoin treasury.

Saylor, widely regarded as one of bitcoin’s most outspoken proponents, continues to champion its long-term potential. At the Bitcoin 2025 conference in Las Vegas, he declared bitcoin “engineered to outperform” all traditional assets. He predicts it will eclipse gold and real estate to become the world’s dominant store of value by 2045, with a projected market cap of $500 trillion. Saylor also envisions bitcoin reaching $1 million per coin in the coming years, driven by institutional demand and favorable U.S. policy developments, including a proposed Strategic Bitcoin Reserve. Previously, he modeled a 2045 BTC price of $13 million, with a bull case of $49 million and a bear case of $3 million. “I’m getting more bullish on that forecast,” he added last week. “I’m certainly comfortable forecasting 30% a year on average for the next 20 years.”
