The creators of the animated comedy South Park took a dive into artificial intelligence (AI), spotlighting entrepreneur and U.S. Crypto Czar David Sacks gifting U.S. President Donald Trump a bitcoin.
South Park’s Latest Episode Throws Trump, Bitcoin, and AI Into a Satirical Blender

South Park Roasts Tech Titans, Trump, and Crypto With AI-Fueled Parody
The newest South Park episode, “Sickofancy,” centers on Randy Marsh and his Tegridy Farms marijuana business, which teeters on collapse after an ICE raid. Marsh and his sidekick Towelie turn to AI—specifically ChatGPT—in a desperate bid to keep the farm alive. Their journey takes them deep into a parody world of so-called tech-bro culture.

Towelie is dispatched to Washington to lobby President Trump to deschedule marijuana, hoping the move will boost Randy’s latest business venture. But once inside the White House, Towelie winds up in a circus of flattery as tech giants like Apple’s Tim Cook and Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg shower Trump with praise and extravagant gifts. Among them, U.S. Crypto Czar David Sacks is shown handing over an oversized bitcoin while standing beside Towelie.
The widely followed X account, Autism Capital, posted the South Park–style image of Sacks with the bitcoin, and Sacks himself shared the screenshot with a simple “LOL.” It’s hardly the first time bitcoin has popped up in the series. In the 2021 South Park special “Post COVID,” a motel clerk casually accepted bitcoin for payment, jokingly dismissing cryptocurrencies as “fly-by-night Ponzi schemes.”
Another nod appeared in the episode “Pajama Day,” where the kids riffed on Matt Damon’s infamous crypto commercial in a hilarious parody. These episodes show how entertainment thrives on mocking reality, blowing up the tensions between politics, business, and tech. Though the jokes may poke fun at Trump supporters and crypto fans alike, no one seems truly rattled by the punchlines.
