Shekel Reaches 30-Month High Against Dollar Amid Geopolitical Developments

This marks a significant appreciation of the shekel, which has strengthened by 4.87% over the past month and 9.06% over the last year. Analysts attribute this rise to a reduction in Israel’s risk premium amid recent geopolitical developments, particularly concerning Iran, as well as a robust performance in the local stock market. The shekel has appreciated by 3% since the onset of the conflict with Iran, leading some experts to predict further strengthening, potentially reaching around 3.0 ILS per USD.
