Sazmining, a green Bitcoin mining company with operations in Wisconsin and Paraguay, aims to improve the heating business using mining as a key element. The company reported that it is currently working on substituting the traditional petrol-based heating elements of a building for a system that recycles the heat produced by bitcoin miners in a small Norwegian fishing town. While the company did not disclose the projectās exact location, it announced it would run an almost 100% carbon-free operation, given that the bitcoin miners used hydroelectric energy to sustain their activities. This initiative reinforces the benefits of retrofitting bitcoin miners for non-traditional heating applications.
