Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad Poor Dad, has criticized the debate over whether bitcoin or gold is better. He stressed that the only facts that matter are how much gold and bitcoin you own, pointing to the $35 trillion U.S. debt as the real issue. Cautioning that the bond market is crashing, Kiyosaki opined: “The dollar is trash. Stop saving dollars, fake money … start saving gold, silver, and bitcoin….real money.”

Kiyosaki Advises Investing in Gold and Bitcoin to Survive Economic Crashes
Rich Dad Poor Dad author Robert Kiyosaki shared his thoughts on the economy, gold, and bitcoin again on social media platform X this week. His book, Rich Dad Poor Dad, co-authored with Sharon Lechter in 1997, has sold over 32 million copies in 51 languages across 109 countries and remained on the New York Times Best Seller List for more than six years.
Highlighting the importance of owning real assets like gold and bitcoin and dismissing debates on which is better, Kiyosaki opined:
I don’t get it. Why all the debate about what is better? gold or bitcoin? In my opinion, the only facts that count are how many gold coins do you own and how many bitcoin? End of discussion.
The famous author also raised alarms about the bond market crash, which he believes signals deeper economic issues.
“The bond market is crashing. Do you realize the world economy is based on debt? A bond is debt, and the whole world is floating on it, and this collapse signals deeper economic troubles. While market crashes are visible, banking crashes are hidden and much more dangerous. It’s one reason I am investing in physical assets like gold, silver, and Bitcoin. I’m a hardcore believer of gold and silver, real money, not fake money,” he said. Kiyosaki frequently warned about market crashes. In August, he declared that the stock market crash had arrived and that “losses are substantial.”
Kiyosaki cautioned that the U.S. national debt is a major issue, regardless of whether former President Donald Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris wins the November presidential election.
“The real problem is the $35 trillion in U.S. debt … neither Trump nor Kamala can solve.” He noted that interest payments on the debt now exceed $1 trillion a year. “If you spent $1 a minute it would take 31,688 years to spend 1 trillion dollars,” the acclaimed author pointed out, emphasizing:
Simply said, we are fucked. The dollar is trash. Stop saving dollars, fake money … start saving gold, silver, & bitcoin….real money.
