XDC Network Adds Clear Street as Institutional Masternode Validator

NEW YORK — August 13, 2026 — XDC Network, an open-source, EVM-compatible Layer-1 blockchain built for payments, trade finance and real-world assets, today announced that Clear Street has joined the network as an institutional-grade Masternode Validator. In the role, Clear Street directly operates core transaction infrastructure, including block validation, ledger maintenance and network governance.

The appointment expands XDC Network’s validator set and deepens the participation of regulated financial institutions in public blockchain infrastructure. For an industry that has spent years debating whether public blockchains are ready for institutional finance, Clear Street’s decision to operate inside the consensus layer is a clear answer.

Robert Rutherford, Chief Executive Officer of Clear Street Digital, said, “Compliant public blockchains are becoming part of the capital markets stack, and the firms that build market infrastructure should help operate that layer. Running a Masternode Validator on XDC Network places Clear Street inside the consensus layer of a network built for payments, trade finance and tokenized real-world assets.”

Rutherford continued, “This is a direct extension of what we already do: operate modern, real-time infrastructure that sophisticated investors can rely on. We want to be accountable for the next layer of capital markets, and that means helping to run it.”

Clear Street joins existing validators including Animoca Brands, BCW Group, Blueprint, Clearpool, Credora, Deutsche Telekom, HashKeyCloud, Hivemind Digital Group, InvestaX, IXS, RedStone, Republic Crypto, SBI Holdings, StakeFi and UOB Venture Management, with more institutional partnerships expected in the coming months. The set spans banking institutions, global telecoms, Asia-Pacific financial groups and digital asset specialists.

Ritesh Kakkad, Co-Founder of XDC Network, said, “Clear Street joining as an institutional validator advances our push to deepen XDC Network’s presence in the United States. Bringing on a regulated U.S. financial infrastructure firm of this standing strengthens our validator set and marks another step in the convergence of traditional and decentralized finance.”
