Josh Shapiro Leads in Polymarket’s $11M Bet for Harris’s VP Pick
As of 12 p.m. EDT on Monday, July 22, 2024, Polymarket indicates that the governors of Pennsylvania and North Carolina are the top contenders for Kamala Harris’s potential vice presidential pick. At the time of writing, Shapiro leads the field of 21 diverse candidates on Polymarket’s wager, which is currently valued at $11 million. Shapiro’s odds stand at 29%, with Cooper closely trailing at 26%.

Following the two frontrunners is the 63rd Governor of Kentucky, Andy Beshear, who has a 15% chance of becoming Harris’s potential vice president. The Democratic Senator from Arizona, Mark Kelly, also holds a 15% chance. Pete Buttigieg, the 19th United States Secretary of Transportation, has a 6% chance. According to Polymarket, Harris has an 83% chance of becoming the Democratic nominee. She has filed to campaign, with her X page stating “Harris for President” and the slogan “let’s win this.”
