Polygon Labs has announced that its next-generation zero-knowledge (ZK) proving system, Polygon Plonky3, is now production-ready. This open-source system, licensed under MIT/Apache, empowers developers to build bespoke proving systems for ZKVM or ZK EVM chains, tailored to various use cases. Unlike its predecessor, Plonky2, which was optimized for hardware and recursion, Plonky3 offers greater flexibility with fewer fixed properties. It has been extensively audited for soundness and is set to bring about more innovation in the field. Polygon Labs continues to demonstrate its commitment to open-source, ZK-powered technology as the key to achieving verifiable offchain computation.
