Crypto venture capital firm Pantera has launched what it calls a “Digital Asset Treasury” (DAT) fund to provide investors with exposure to the new and rapidly expanding sector of crypto treasury companies that hold large amounts of digital assets on their balance sheets.
Pantera Launches First Digital Asset Treasury Fund

A curious phenomenon has arisen, whereby public companies that purchase crypto for their corporate treasuries end up enjoying a stock price premium tied to the performance of the digital assets on their books. The textbook example is software firm turned bitcoin treasury company Strategy, which is currently enjoying a 77% premium because it holds 597,325 BTC. Pantera plans on investing in the top treasury firms, allowing investors to enjoy enhanced returns from a carefully selected collection of companies. “We have a robust pipeline of opportunities to deploy fresh capital and are opening access to investors through Pantera DAT Fund,” said Pantera General Partner Cosmo Jiang in an article published on Monday. “We expect to deploy $100 million into DAT deals.”
