Openverse Secures $8 Million in Strategic Series B Funding to Accelerate the Internet of Value Infrastructure
Press release

PRESS RELEASE.

Global blockchain infrastructure project Openverse announced the successful completion of its Strategic Series B funding round, raising $8 million from Bright Capital, KC International, Innovation Engine, Go2Mars, Becker Ventures, GAEA Ventures, and multiple international family offices.

To date, Openverse Network has raised a cumulative $11 million in strategic funding, with early backers including Castrum Capital, TB Ventures, DuckDAO, Asva Capital, and other leading Web3 investors.

Building the Next-Generation “Internet of Value”

Openverse is dedicated to reconstructing global digital asset infrastructure with its “Fully Open Protocol Cross-Chain” Layer0 architecture, positioning itself as the next-generation interoperability protocol.

Core Capabilities:

  • Seamless Cross-Chain Interoperability: Native interoperability without bridges for secure chain-to-chain interactions.
  • Standardized RWA Issuance: Compliant frameworks enabling large-scale tokenization of real-world assets.
  • Native Multi-Chain Payments: Embedded, stable, and secure value transfer experience.

Innovative Protocol Suite:
To connect diverse real-world applications with the ecosystem, Openverse has introduced the VRC family of protocols, each designed to address different layers of economic activity:

  • VRC10 — Bitcurrency: Public currencies or fiat-like assets issued through Bitgold-backed loans, supported by PCIM theory.
  • VRC11 — Privcurrency: Enterprise or individual-issued private domain currencies, used in closed environments with relatively stable value.
  • VRC12 — Bitsecurity: Securities issued by banks, financial institutions, or enterprises through Bitgold collateral, enabling compliant digital securities markets.

As the protocol’s core asset, Bitgold (BTG) serves as both network gas and a value anchor, also functioning as the collateral foundation for stablecoins and RWA tokens—enhancing Web3 trust and composability.

Rapidly Growing User Base and Ecosystem

On-chain user scale:

  • Mainnet BTG holders: 110,000+
  • Testnet addresses with balances: 50,000+
  • Odyssey users (BSC-bound): 1.14M+
  • Odyssey users (dual social accounts bound): 50,000+

Convertible ecosystem user scale:

  • OpenAPP (opensoci.com): 500,000+ users
  • MyPallet social wallet: 1.7M+ users
  • Layer1 blockchain users integrated into Openverse: 150,000+

Currently, three Layer1 projects are already deploying on the Openverse protocol stack, with ecosystem expansion continuing at pace.

Looking Ahead

With technology-driven innovation and a compliance-first approach, Openverse is on track to become the key infrastructure connecting nations, enterprises, and individuals to digital value. Proceeds from this round will primarily support protocol R&D, ecosystem expansion, and global compliance initiatives—further driving the realization of the Internet of Value.
