Open Oracle Network DIA Launches Lumina to Bolster Web3 Data Infrastructure

DIA Introduces Lumina: A New Trustless Oracle Architecture

According to the statement provided to Bitcoin.com News, the Lumina system integrates modular components to gather, verify, process, and deliver data for decentralized applications ( dapps). Leveraging DIA’s Ethereum layer two ( L2) rollup, Lasernet, the platform ensures decentralized operations by using zero-knowledge proofs for data verification and secure node contributions.

DIA clarified that Lumina’s rollout will commence with a testnet phase, followed by gradual mainnet releases, allowing for increasing user participation. DIA also highlighted that Lumina addresses the limitations of current oracle systems by incentivizing a network of nodes to collect and secure trade data from more than 100 centralized and decentralized exchange ( dex) platforms.

“Lumina is the culmination of four years of web3 infrastructure innovation cast into one product,” DIA’s product head, Zygis Marazas, emphasized on Wednesday. “It lays the foundation for our vision of a truly decentralized and trustless oracle network that maximizes security and trust while retaining the flexibility to serve any use case,” Marazas added.

DIA revealed that the system’s architecture supports customizable and transparent data feeds across various blockchains, using a decentralized messaging protocol to distribute the data as required. This configuration is anticipated to improve scalability and strengthen the immutability of data processing. The launch also seeks to facilitate a range of decentralized finance ( defi) applications, ensuring lasting trust and adaptability in data sourcing.
