This partnership introduces Banking-as-a-Service (BaaS), enabling customers to utilize full-service payment accounts, bill payment options, Swish connections, and debit cards. The agreement, which has an initial term of two years, will see technical integration completed by late 2025, with services expected to launch in Q4 2025. While the initial financial impact for Safello will be a net cost, the partnership has the potential to create additional revenue streams in the future. Emelie Moritz, CEO of Safello, emphasized that this collaboration marks a significant step towards becoming a full-service crypto bank, while Marginalen Bank’s Commercial & Growth Manager, Fredrik Hong Hammargren, highlighted the transformative potential of embedded banking solutions.
