Magic Eden is narrowing its focus to the Solana blockchain and its Dicey gambling platform while sunsetting various Bitcoin and Ethereum services.
NFT Marketplace Magic Eden Streamlines Operations to Focus on Solana and Dicey Gambling

CEO Jack Lu announced on X that Magic Eden will streamline its marketplace to focus exclusively on Packs and Solana while doubling down on Dicey, its crypto casino and sportsbetting project. The company plans to wind down support for its EVM and Bitcoin marketplaces on March 9, followed by the Bitcoin API on March 27 and the Magic Eden Wallet on April 1. This shift comes as Dicey’s closed beta reached approximately 200 users and over $15 million in total wagers within two months.
The transition involves phasing out non-fungible token ( NFT) buybacks to prioritize ecosystem design and future yield initiatives for the ME token (ME). As the product suite evolves, the ME token is intended to remain a central utility for user engagement across both Magic Eden and the Dicey platform. “We are now 2 months into Dicey’s closed beta and are incredibly bullish on how things have developed,” Lu stated regarding the project’s growth.
