ByBit offered a total of MNRY Tokens worth of prizes through deposit-and-earn and trade-and-earn competitions. KuCoin also announced campaigns as part of its Web3 startup token airdrop giving away over MNRY tokens, and Gate.io is running campaigns with MNRY tokens in prize pools. MNRY is now listed for USDT spot trading pairs on the platforms.
Moonray has previously raised over $10M across several funding rounds and NFT sales led by Animoca Brands, Republic Crypto, and C2 Ventures, and including Polygon Ventures, Huobi Ventures, Cardano Ventures, Master Ventures, and others. Moonray’s ecosystem, which will be powered by the MNRY token, leverage blockchain technologies to introduce enhanced gaming experiences not possible in traditional online gaming. Earlier this year, Moonray achieved a milestone on OpenSea, minting over 220k NFTs in an 48-hour event, the largest free gaming mint to date on the NFT trading platform.
The company recently announced its launch on Playstation 5 later next year, one of the very few Web3 based games to reach that milestone following titles such as Off The Grid. Although the release date hasn’t been announced yet, the team said the dates for beta and official launch on Playstation will be revealed in upcoming announcements in the coming months. Moonray also has an Autobattler targeting the mobile gaming segment in development to add to its impressive portfolio, also in 2025.
As for the game itself – Moonray is set in a distant “post-human” future, providing immersive gameplay and intense combat experiences. Moonray’s competitive gameplay is easy to pick up but hard to master, appealing to both casual players and esports professionals. The project initially debuted with early access to select players in March 2022 and has since expanded into a competitive multiplayer combat arena game and an ecosystem set in a ‘post-human’ universe, currently led by its action game and graphic novels. The early access version of the original PC game launched on the Epic Games Store in July this year, offering campaigns with rewards for players.
The company has already ventured into artforms outside of gaming, with the release last year of “Mother’s Skin,” a graphic novel that develops the lore of the Moonray universe, and a second graphic novel called “Echoes of Ascension,” which was released earlier this year. The series is written by Eisner award winning comic book artist Brandon Graham and is available in over 4,000 comic book stores in North America and the UK, including Midtown Comics and Barnes & Noble. Moonray has also partnered with renowned animation studio ReelFX for development of an animated series.
The long-awaited introduction of this token will support Moonray’s commitment to unlocking a host of possibilities within its gaming and entertainment ecosystem. Several Web3 personalities such as Crypto Banter, NekoZTek and more have been involved with the project.
