Kraken Prime Unveiled With Deep Liquidity, Smart Order Routing, and Institutional-Grade Security

Crypto exchange Kraken announced on June 3 the introduction of Kraken Prime, a full-service prime brokerage platform created to provide institutional clients with streamlined access to digital asset trading, custody, and financing. With institutional interest in crypto rising amid greater regulatory clarity and maturing infrastructure, Kraken Prime is positioned to deliver services tailored for asset managers, hedge funds, and corporate entities operating at scale. Kraken emphasized that the new platform offers “deep, multi-venue liquidity” and premium client support integrated into a single interface.

The crypto exchange highlighted the extensive market access offered to clients:

Clients gain access to liquidity representing over 90% of the digital asset market across more than 20 global venues, with round-the-clock support from an experienced account management team.

Kraken Prime also includes direct trade execution from custody operated by Kraken Financial, a U.S.-state chartered bank. Describing the technical capabilities of the platform, Kraken added: “The platform also supports asset-backed lending, T+1 credit facilities and a seamless integration with both on- and off-platform liquidity through an in-house smart order routing system.”

The company noted that this infrastructure is designed to meet institutional standards for performance, compliance, and reliability.
