Jordan Approves Blockchain Policy to Enhance Government Services

Jordan’s Council of Ministers has approved the Jordanian Blockchain Technology Policy for 2025, aiming to enhance government services, transparency, and digital security. Key objectives of the policy include improving confidence in government performance and achieve complete security and privacy for citizens’ data. It also aims to reduce time and costs associated with government transactions as well as supporting start-ups, build capabilities, and develop specialized skills in blockchain technology. The policy aligns with Jordan’s Economic Modernization Vision, which aims to achieve excellence in service sectors, support national development, and increase service exports. By leveraging blockchain technology, Jordan seeks to increase citizens’ confidence in government services, enhance transparency, combat fraud, and reduce operational costs.
