Anchorage Digital Introduces Institutional Liquid Staking

Institutions such as venture capital firms, wealth managers, and blockchain protocols can now stake ether ( ETH) through Anchorage Digital and receive LsETH directly into their accounts. The liquid staking token ( LST) represents staked ETH along with accrued network rewards and offers a transferable option for users.

This development positions Anchorage Digital Bank NA as the first OCC-chartered U.S. bank to facilitate institutional liquid staking. The integration expands the bank’s staking services and opens new avenues for institutional participation in Ethereum staking.

Additionally, the announcement on Thursday notes that Anchorage Digital clients can use their LsETH for restaking on Eigenlayer through the platform, streamlining access to various on-chain opportunities. This integration consolidates staking, restaking, and secure custody within a single ecosystem.

Nathan McCauley, CEO and co-founder of Anchorage Digital, emphasized the company’s commitment to institutional-grade solutions. “With LsETH, our clients gain a flexible staking option that allows them to access ETH staking rewards. Anchorage Digital is proud to enable institutional access to liquid staking through our secure, regulated offering,” he said.

Liquid staking through LsETH provides stakers with daily auto- staking of ETH network rewards and the ability to sell, transfer, or deploy their tokens. This model offers a secure pathway for institutions to engage with Ethereum’s staking ecosystem, addressing both reward generation and liquidity needs.

By integrating LsETH, Anchorage Digital aims to simplify and secure institutional access to the liquid staking landscape, further bridging traditional finance and decentralized ecosystems.
