Web3 Agency Otherlife and Auto Manufacturer DeLorean to Release Vehicle Reservation Marketplace
The auto firm DeLorean has announced it is working with Otherlife, a Web3 creative agency that specializes in digital design, web experiences, and technical strategy for Web3 and the metaverse. Otherlife, formally known as Nightshift was acquired by Moonpay in January 2023. DeLorean and Otherlife are setting out to create a marketplace that allows the automaker’s fans to buy, sell and trade vehicle reservation build slots.

Otherlife has worked with clients like Microsoft, Mastercard, Arsenal FC, and Coinbase. DeLorean’s announcement states that by leveraging blockchain technology, the firm aims to offer transparency and security in the reservation process, ensuring a seamless experience for customers. DeLorean insists a transparent and immutable ledger will provide buyers with future insights into the history and performance of each vehicle with greater accuracy than any traditional platform on the market.
“DeLorean has always been a pioneer in automotive innovation,” Ben Marquart, DeLorean’s chief technical officer stated. “Our collaboration with Otherlife, a trailblazer in Web3 solutions, reaffirms our commitment to pushing boundaries and embracing cutting-edge technologies.”
DeLorean and the digital creative studio announced that the marketplace is expected to be fully operational by Q4 2024. The platform will be hosted on delorean.com, allowing current build slot holders to manage their active reservations. Additionally, new reservations for year two production will become available shortly after the launch.
“The path towards transparent vehicle analytics is a perfect use case for blockchain technology,” Michael Perrow, the CEO of Otherlife remarked. “It will provide the tool required for buyers in the secondary market to make informed decisions.”
