The Central Bank of Argentina has opened its doors to host a cryptocurrency-themed art exhibition for the first time. The show, titled “Art, Artificial Intelligence and the Future of the Economy,” includes a series of bitcoin mining machines, several spheres that display ether and bitcoin prices, and another sphere filled with destroyed physical money. Alberto Echegaray, the artist behind this work, detailed the relevance of the show’s setting. “It is a historical fact. No central bank has touched mining operations and it is good that not only people from the art world see this, but that all those interested in economic and digitalization systems can also see it,” he stressed.
