Hamster Kombat Updates Roadmap, Discloses Community Distribution Allocation in New Whitepaper
Hamster Kombat, a tap-to-earn game that has reached over 300 million players, has released a new whitepaper and an update on the project roadmap. The game, which puts the player in the role of a hamster CEO of an unnamed cryptocurrency exchange, announced the end of its first season and disclosed that it would announce the tokenomics related to the distribution of its second season soon.
Regarding the updated distribution numbers, Hamster Kombat declared that due to the relevance of players’ actions on the game’s popularity, it decided to increase the number of the soon-to-be-released tokens for community distribution. It declared:
We firmly believe that each player contributes to our shared success. To reflect this, we’ve allocated a whopping 60% of the total token supply for community distribution.
The project also updated the community on the state of the upcoming airdrop, claiming that it still had no determined date for its execution and detailing that it was a “technically complex undertaking, unprecedented in the blockchain world.” “We’re not setting specific dates for one simple reason: it’s impossible to predict the exact timeline for implementing this solution,” it stressed. Nonetheless, the token is already trading in exchanges that offer pre-issuance markets.
However, Hamster Kombat did state that it was working with the TON ecosystem to ensure a “smooth and seamless airdrop for all users.”
Several governments have criticized Hamster Kombat and its effects on the population. Anatoly Aksakov, leader of the Russian State Duma’s Financial Market Committee, called for the termination of the game due to the manipulation it exerts on Russian citizens.
In contrast, Telegram CEO Pavel Durov praised the project, declaring it would introduce “the benefits of blockchain to hundreds of millions of people.”
