Arkansas House Republican French Hill who also happens to be chairman of the House Committee on Financial Services indicated in a statement published on Friday, that he is open to working on legislation that would potentially include funding for the national strategic bitcoin reserve established on Thursday by President Donald Trump. “As President Trump works to implement his executive order, I encourage his administration to collaborate with Congress, particularly in regard to the structure and any funding related to the strategic bitcoin reserve,” Hill said. The reserve currently consists of bitcoin seized from criminal activity, but no official position has been taken regarding future funding of the reserve through government bitcoin purchases.
