Nate Geraci Projects July 15 Week as Probable Listing Time for Spot Ethereum ETFs

In recent days, Nate Geraci, who serves as president of the ETF Store and co-founded The ETF Institute, has been actively discussing crypto assets and associated funds. On July 6, he revealed his purchase of bitcoin ( BTC) and solana ( SOL), mentioning that he also holds ethereum ( ETH). In another X post, Geraci commented on BTC, noting that it is a “future gold/store of value,” ETH is a “future tech/app store” and that SOL “can have [a] seat at [the] table too.”

“Room for everyone when you’re disintermediating,” The ETF Institute co-founder wrote. “Why is this so hard?”

Geraci also discussed the spot bitcoin ETFs, highlighting that more than 300 ETFs have launched in 2024, with the four most successful being spot bitcoin ETFs. He pointed out that “it’s really not even close” and named the leading ETFs IBIT, FBTC, ARKB, and BITB. “Are we still doing the ‘no demand’ thing?” Geraci quipped. Additionally, the ETF expert addressed the spot ether ETF listings and offered a predicted date for their debut.

He stated:

Will be *shocked* if spot [ethereum] ETFs not trading w/in [the] next 2 weeks … Later next week [is] a possibility, but think [the] week of July 15th [is] more likely. Interestingly, [the] price of [ether is down] 20%+ since the ‘surprise’ 19b-4 approvals in late May.

Spot ether ETF S-1 amendments are reportedly due tomorrow, Geraci explained on July 8. He stated that the primary aspect he’s monitoring is fees, which won’t be mandatory with these amendments. “Otherwise, assume issuers gearing up for launch in next week or two,” he added. Meanwhile, the price of BTC is down 1.4% in the past hour and ETH is down 1.7% against the U.S. dollar.
