Japanese hotel developer and bitcoin treasury firm Metaplanet has created a Strategic Board of Advisors and Eric Trump will join as an inaugural member, according to an announcement made by the company’s CEO Simon Gerovich on Thursday evening. “Metaplanet is thrilled to welcome Eric Trump to our newly formed Strategic Board of Advisors,” Gerovich wrote. “His business expertise and passion for BTC will help drive our mission forward as we continue building one of the world’s leading Bitcoin Treasury Companies.” Metaplanet currently owns 3,050 BTC and recently implemented a strategy that will see it purchase 21,000 bitcoin by 2026. The firm also claims that it owns more BTC than any other publicly traded Asian company.
