Digital Asset Platform Crypto.com Receives AI Certification

Crypto.com announced on February 16, 2026 that it has received ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification, the international standard for an Artificial Intelligence Management System (AIMS), making it the first digital asset platform to attain this recognition for responsible AI governance and risk management. The certification complements Crypto.com’s existing security and compliance posture, including ISO/IEC 27001, ISO/IEC 27701, ISO 22301, PCI:DSS, and SOC 2 Type 2, and is presented as part of the company’s global security framework.

The ISO/IEC 42001:2023 standard requires organizations to establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve AI risk management covering ethics, transparency, accountability, and societal impact; Crypto.com says the certification reinforces its commitment to secure, transparent AI deployment across its platform. Jason Lau, Chief Information Security Officer at Crypto.com, states, “This ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification is a testament to our industry leadership in security and responsible AI,” and the certification is intended to align with emerging regulatory expectations and stakeholder trust.
