Crypto.com Canada announced that it has obtained a restricted dealer registration, allowing the platform to continue offering crypto asset products and services to Canadian customers while it seeks full registration as an investment dealer and membership with the Canadian Investment Regulatory Organization (CIRO). This registration follows Crypto.com’s status as the first crypto trading platform to sign a Pre-registration Undertaking with the Canadian Securities Administrators and the Ontario Securities Commission in August 2022. Eric Anziani, President and COO of Crypto.com, emphasized the company’s commitment to enhancing customer protection through robust compliance protocols established during the registration process. Additionally, Crypto.com Custody Trust Company will serve as the primary custodian for the digital assets of Canadian customers, ensuring secure custody services in line with Canadian regulatory standards.
