Crypto.com and UEFA have announced a multi-year partnership, making Crypto.com the first and exclusive global cryptocurrency platform partner of the UEFA Champions League. This collaboration aims to enhance fan engagement by integrating cryptocurrency into the football experience, featuring in-stadium activations, broadcast integrations, and advertising campaigns. The partnership will be officially unveiled at the UEFA Super Cup on August 14, 2024. Steven Kalifowitz, Chief Marketing Officer at Crypto.com, expressed excitement about connecting with sports fans globally, while Guy-Laurent Epstein, UEFA marketing director, highlighted the potential for innovative technologies to enrich the fan experience. Although the recent announcement did not disclose specific financial details, there were reports back in 2022 of a potential deal worth $495 million that Crypto.com had considered for the UEFA Champions League.
