Coinflip Introduces Digital Currency Kiosks in Mexico
Coinflip, a U.S.-based digital currency platform, has introduced its crypto ATM services in Mexico, making it the company’s eighth international market outside of the United States. The company has installed its digital currency kiosks, commonly known as crypto ATMs, across more than 20 locations in Mexico City, including shopping centers and other high-traffic areas.
“Entering the Mexico market is a logical next step for Coinflip as we continue our international expansion efforts,” Ben Weiss, the CEO and co-founder of Coinflip stated. “Our digital currency kiosks provide a familiar and secure on-ramp to the global digital economy for everyday consumers.”
Coinflip explained that these kiosks allow users to securely buy and sell cryptocurrencies using cash, offering a new entry point for consumers into the digital currency market. Coinflip told Bitcoin.com News that its expansion into Mexico comes at a time of increasing interest in cryptocurrencies within Latin America, where Mexico ranks 16th globally in crypto adoption.
The company’s move is part of a broader strategy to meet the growing demand for accessible and secure cryptocurrency services in the region. Coinflip’s operations in Mexico include not only physical kiosks but also a mobile app that enables users to create non-custodial wallets, send and receive international transfers, and find nearby crypto ATMs.
