Anchorage Digital and Bybit Bring Institutional Access to Solana Staking
Bybit has strengthened its institutional foothold in the Solana ecosystem with Anchorage Digital now offering custody support for its staked SOL token, bbSOL. The move positions bbSOL as an institutional-grade liquid staking token ( LST), giving regulated investors a secure and compliant way to earn SOL staking yields.
Anchorage Digital Bank, the first federally chartered crypto bank in the U.S., will provide bank-level security and regulatory oversight for bbSOL. The partnership gives funds, asset managers, and enterprises access to Solana’s on-chain yield opportunities while operating within U.S. compliance standards.
Launched by Bybit, bbSOL allows users to stake SOL while retaining full flexibility to trade or deploy their tokens across DeFi protocols. With Anchorage Digital’s infrastructure, bbSOL now bridges exchange-grade liquidity with institutional-grade custody.
“Anchorage Digital’s integration represents a major leap in bbSOL’s evolution as an institutional-ready product. We’re offering institutions a compliant and transparent entry point into Solana’s DeFi landscape,” said Emily Bao, Head of Spot at Bybit.
Bybit’s integration with Anchorage Digital signals growing momentum for liquid staking tokens as regulated gateways between traditional finance and decentralized markets.
