Bybit has committed $100,000 in humanitarian aid to support relief efforts in Sri Lanka following Cyclone Ditwah. The disaster has caused catastrophic flooding across Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Sri Lanka, resulting in over 420 regional deaths, including 123 in Sri Lanka. The company is collaborating directly with the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) to provide emergency assistance to affected communities.
Nazar Tymoshchuk, Bybit’s Mini-Global Regional Manager, emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting relief efforts during this critical time. More than 44,000 people have been displaced in Sri Lanka alone, with widespread infrastructure damage, landslides, and suspended public services. Bybit’s contribution will focus on providing essential supplies, including food, clean water, medical aid, and temporary housing for displaced families.
