The integration of generative artificial intelligence (AI) is forecasted to significantly boost the economies of BRICS+ countries, potentially generating up to $600 billion by 2030, as per Yakov and Partners’ analysis. The consulting firm’s November 2024 report examined the development and implementation of generative AI technologies across the BRICS+ nations, projecting an overall economic impact of $0.9 trillion to $1.4 trillion within the same timeframe. This figure represents approximately 20% of AI’s total economic influence on these countries. The report underscores how generative AI could play a pivotal role in accelerating innovation, enhancing productivity, and unlocking economic opportunities for member states, including Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa, among others in the extended BRICS+ framework. By adopting generative AI models, these economies could tap into substantial growth potential, emphasizing the technology’s transformative effect on industries and markets within the association.
