On Tuesday, the crypto payments processor based in Atlanta, Bitpay, revealed its collaboration with Moonpay. The partnership, Bitpay emphasized, enables users to sell bitcoin and other crypto assets directly through the Bitpay app.

Bitpay Now Allows Direct Sales via Moonpay Partnership

Users of the Bitpay app can now sell their crypto assets through Bitpay’s integration with Moonpay. The app accommodates a variety of stablecoins such as DAI, USDC, USDP, and GUSD, in addition to BTC, ETH, LTC, DOGE, SHIB, BNB, LINK, CRO, VERSE, BAT, WBTC, APE, and MATIC. “We’re teaming up with Moonpay to bring you a better way to sell your crypto,” Bitpay stated on Tuesday.

The company added:

Starting today, sell [ bitcoin] and other cryptocurrencies in the Bitpay app. It’s fast, secure, and easy.

The news follows Bitpay revealing that users of the Bitpay app can now use the supported crypto assets to pay “practically any mortgage lender,” according to the Atlanta-based company. On May 3, Bitpay disclosed that from January to March 2024, there was a 20% increase in crypto spending.

“This increase in crypto payments spanned in cars, luxury goods, and electronics industry,” stated the company. Additionally, on May 2, Bitcoin.com News covered Moonpay’s new partnership with Paypal, which allows U.S. users to buy crypto assets using their Paypal accounts.
