Cleanspark’s New Wyoming Site to Add 2 EH/s to Mining Operations
Cleanspark‘s new site in Cheyenne, Wyoming, is set to become the company’s second fully immersion-cooled BTC mining facility. The site, once operational, will use Bitmain’s advanced S21 immersion XP machines, which are touted as the most efficient bitcoin mining devices available on the market. The company aims to expand the site’s power capacity further, with ongoing efforts to bring an additional 45 MW online, contributing an extra 3 EH/s to its overall hashrate.
“On the heels of the University of Wyoming announcing the launch of its Bitcoin Research Institute and Senator Lummis introducing the Boosting Innovation, Technology and Competitiveness through Optimized Investment Nationwide ( BITCOIN) Act, we are thrilled to expand in a state so publicly supportive of our industry,” Cleanspark CEO Zach Bradford remarked on Thursday.
The Cleanspark executive added:
Working together with local, state, and national leaders, Cleanspark plans to grow its footprint beyond Cheyenne, throughout the beautiful state of Wyoming.
This expansion marks CleanSpark’s entry into its third U.S. state, adding to its existing operations in Georgia and Mississippi. The company currently manages 12 data centers across these states, with additional co-locations in Tennessee and New York. The acquisition of Griid Infrastructure is expected to further bolster Cleanspark’s operations in Tennessee, with plans to significantly increase its hashrate capacity.
