U.S. bitcoin ETFs opened the week with $526.60 million in net inflows, reversing more than twice the amount lost during all of last week. Ether and solana remained under pressure, while NEAR continued to attract capital against the broader crypto trend.
Blackrock Posts Biggest 2026 Inflow as Bitcoin ETFs Add $527M

Key Takeaways
- Bitcoin ETFs drew $526.60M on Monday, more than twice last week’s $229M outflow.
- Blackrock’s IBIT pulled in $665.16M as ether and solana stayed under selling pressure.
- NEAR kept attracting capital, while bitcoin’s rebound still depends heavily on IBIT demand.
Institutional sentiment toward bitcoin changed dramatically on Monday, and almost all of the shift came through one fund.
Blackrock’s IBIT attracted $665.16 million, its largest single-day inflow in 2026. That was enough to overcome an $83.63 million withdrawal from Fidelity’s FBTC and a $54.93 million exit from Grayscale’s GBTC.
Bitcoin ETF trading value reached $2.09 billion, while net assets closed at $105.46 billion. The scale of the move stands out after last week’s $229 million withdrawal. Monday alone more than erased those redemptions.
IBIT’s reversal was even sharper. The fund lost about $165 million last week, then drew more than four times that amount in a single session. That gives bitcoin’s price a markedly stronger institutional backdrop heading deeper into the week.

Bitcoin Rebounds While Ether Divergence Widens
The improvement did not extend to ethereum.
Ether ETFs lost another $103.28 million, with Blackrock’s ETHA accounting for $95.40 million. Fidelity’s FETH shed $5.96 million, and Grayscale’s ETHE lost $1.92 million. Trading activity reached $497.26 million, while net assets fell to $14.77 billion.
The contrast with bitcoin is becoming increasingly difficult to overlook.
Ether ETFs lost $320 million last week and began the new period with another nine-figure withdrawal. Bitcoin, meanwhile, erased last week’s entire deficit within hours.
The flow gap suggests institutional investors are becoming more deliberate about where they rebuild crypto exposure after October’s risk reduction.
Solana Keeps Bleeding as NEAR Stays Resilient
Solana ETFs recorded an 11th consecutive day of outflows.
Bitwise’s BSOL lost $4.88 million, and Fidelity’s FSOL shed $1.84 million, producing a $6.72 million net exit. Net assets closed at $1.63 billion. That streak follows two consecutive record outflow weeks for solana ETFs, reinforcing signs that higher-beta institutional exposure remains under pressure.
Zcash funds also lost $10.45 million through Grayscale’s ZCSH, leaving net assets at $601.70 million.
NEAR continued to move against the prevailing trend. Bitwise’s NRR attracted another $5.42 million, lifting net assets to $86.95 million.
XRP and HYPE ETFs recorded no net flows.
Blackrock Expands Its Bitcoin Playbook
Blackrock is also looking to broaden the ways investors can access bitcoin.
The asset manager filed on Monday for the iShares Bitcoin Managed Protection ETF, proposed under the ticker PBIT. The actively managed fund would use options linked to IBIT to offer capped upside exposure alongside a degree of downside protection.
The filing arrives as IBIT itself delivers one of its strongest sessions of the year.
Market commentator Luke Martin noted that the last similarly large IBIT inflow came ahead of a strong bitcoin advance in August. Past performance offers no guarantee of repetition, though the comparison underlines how closely ETF flows are being watched.

Monday’s message was unusually concentrated: institutional demand for bitcoin returned forcefully, while ether and solana remained caught in sustained withdrawal cycles.
The next few sessions will show whether IBIT’s surge marks the start of a broader allocation wave or an isolated burst of demand.
