Bitcoin Educator Ben Perrin Suspended by Youtube

Longtime Bitcoin educator Ben Perrin who runs a popular Youtube channel called “ BTC Sessions” watched his account get suspended in real time as he was conducting a livestream on X on Thursday. “I think that the channel just got cut from Youtube,” Perrin said. “It’s telling me that my Youtube channel is gone with no warning whatsoever.” Perrin then shared his screen to show a Youtube message that indicated he may have violated the Youtube policy on “dangerous and harmful content.” After running a campaign on X to bring awareness to what Perrin describes as an “unbelievable” error on Youtube’s part, his account was reinstated. The creator now wants to move to a competing streaming platform called Rumble, which touts its free-speech ethos. “This was a mistake on our end and your channel has been reinstated,” Youtube wrote in a post on X. “We’re very sorry for the frustration this caused. Your videos and content will reappear within 24-48 hours.”
