Thanks to the latest trade war scares, bitcoin’s price tumbled to $110,623 on Oct. 10, 2025, extending a volatile week for the leading cryptocurrency. The sharp decline triggered over a billion in leveraged position liquidations within 24 hours, according to coinglass data, as traders reacted to a stronger U.S. dollar and a pullback in risk assets.

Bitcoin briefly stabilized near the $111,000 zone after dipping to its lowest level since early August, while ether and other top cryptocurrencies also faced double-digit losses. Analysts pointed to macroeconomic uncertainty after Trump’s statements about China and a pause in institutional inflows following recent highs above $120,000. By 5 p.m. EST, more than $2 billion in crypto derivatives plays were liquidated. Even the coinglass.com liquidations page got knocked out by traffic. More than $250 billion has been wiped off the crypto economy as well on Friday afternoon.
