Shiny New Meme Coins for Traders on Binance
The bull market is here and exchange listings are coming in thick and fast. Binance latest foray into the meme coin ecosystem saw it announce the listing of The AI Prophecy (ACT) and Peanut the Squirrel (PNUT) on Monday.
ACT is a meme coin based on the AI prophecy project while PNUT is a meme coin deployed in memory of a famous squirrel seized from his owners’ home by the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and euthanized afterward.
This new listing takes Binance‘s portfolio of meme tokens to 17 in total across spot and futures markets. An analysis by Ai on his X account shows that the market value of 80% of the meme coins listed by Binance increased significantly afterward. The standout performer has been NEIRO with a price increase of up to 7594%.
ACT and PNUT experienced rapid price rises immediately after the announcement with ACT rising by 2,195% and PNUT rising by 413%.
The Binance listing for ACT and PNUT will see both meme coins listed with a seed tag. The seed tag is a unique identifier given to new listings that are susceptible to higher-than-normal risk and, therefore, experience increased price volatility.
With the crypto markets experiencing a sustained rally, market participants can expect to see many more meme coins listed in the future.
