Sei Development Foundation and Druk Holding and Investments Ltd (DHI) announced on January 20, 2026 a collaboration to deploy and run a Sei validator in the Kingdom of Bhutan, led by DHI Innotech, with the validator expected to go live in Q1 2026.
The partnership aims to expand Sei’s global validator footprint, increase Bhutan’s blockchain infrastructure capacity, and explore tokenization, payments and data‑valuation use cases supported in part by Sapien Capital, with joint projects advancing Bhutan’s digital transformation agenda.
