Bee Maps, powered by Hivemapper, announced a $32 million funding round led by Pantera Capital with participation from LDA Capital, Borderless Capital, and Ajna Capital to scale its decentralized mapping network and advance development of a native artificial intelligence (AI) map.

The company said the capital will accelerate device deployments, expand contributor rewards, and enhance its edge-based AI pipeline that converts street-level imagery into dynamic map data for navigation, logistics, automotive and city-planning use cases. The raise follows customer agreements and pilot projects with Volkswagen’s robotaxi program, Lyft, Mapbox and NBC, which Bee Maps said validate demand and create pressure to scale supply quickly. Bee Maps also introduced a $19/month Bee Membership for fleets to access devices, LTE connectivity, intelligence software, and HONEY token rewards; company executives and investors said the funding positions Bee Maps to expand global coverage and strengthen its token‑based contributor economy.
