Apple stated it was aware of reports of an “extremely sophisticated” attack and urged users to install iOS, iPadOS and macOS patches immediately. The company described the bug as an out‑of‑bounds write fixed with improved bounds checking and noted the issue could cause memory corruption when processing a malicious image file. Following the advisory, security firms, crypto platforms and members of the crypto community warned Apple users to update devices, review wallet security practices and take extra precautions if they handle private keys on mobile devices.
