AMINA Bank Achieves First MiCA Crypto‑Asset Service Provider License Via Austrian Subsidiary

AMINA Bank AG announces in Zug, Switzerland on 3 November 2025 that its subsidiary AMINA (Austria) AG (AMINA EU) has received a Crypto‑Asset Service Provider (CASP) license from Austria’s Financial Market Authority (FMA) under the Markets in Crypto‑Assets Regulation (MiCAR), enabling regulated crypto trading, custody, portfolio management and staking at launch. The license covers services for professional investors including family offices, corporates and financial institutions and names Austria as the European entry point.
The approval positions AMINA EU for market launch and accelerated EU expansion, with notifications already submitted in thirteen additional European countries and plans to expand into more than thirty markets across Europe; the license enables custody, exchange, transfer and portfolio management services and is subject to local availability and jurisdictional rules. Franz Bergmueller, CEO of AMINA Bank, says the license “demonstrates AMINA Group’s commitment to the highest regulatory standards,” and AMINA highlights existing licenses in Switzerland, Hong Kong and Abu Dhabi.
