10 US Bitcoin ETFs Amass Over 519,000 BTC, With Blackrock Leading at 50.81%

The latest data reveals that Blackrock’s spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund (ETF) has increased its bitcoin portfolio, now encompassing 263,937.48 bitcoins valued at $17.88 billion.

Spot Bitcoin ETF Reserves Reach New Heights

Several U.S. spot bitcoin ETFs have bolstered their bitcoin (BTC) holdings, bringing the total for ten ETFs, excluding Grayscale’s Bitcoin Trust (GBTC), to 519,440.22 BTC. Currently, this substantial collection of over half a million bitcoins stands at a market worth of $37.26 billion. Over the past 48 hours, Blackrock has seen its tally leap from 259,381.18 BTC to the present figure of 263,937.48 BTC. Among these collective holdings, Blackrock’s IBIT dominates, accounting for 50.81% of the aggregate.

Trailing behind, Fidelity’s FBTC now secures the position as the second-largest stakeholder with 150,563.50 BTC, as per the fund’s latest daily update. This sizable quantity of BTC signifies 28.98% of the combined 519,440.22 BTC. Ark Invest’s ARKB and Bitwise’s BITB are holding 43,513 BTC and 32,377.97 BTC, respectively, placing them significantly above six other ETFs in terms of holdings yet far behind the quantities held by IBIT and FBTC.

As of Monday, April 8, 2024, Vaneck’s HODL spot bitcoin exchange-traded fund possesses 9,050.27 BTC, while Valkyrie’s BRRR secures 7,781.12 BTC. Both Invesco’s and Galaxy’s BTCO ETFs are safeguarding 5,958 BTC, and Franklin Templeton’s EZBC is close behind with approximately 4,901 BTC. The smallest reserves are held by Wisdomtree’s BTCW and Hashdex’s DEFI fund, which has recently transitioned from a futures ETF to a spot ETF, with current figures showing BTCW at 1,194.88 BTC and DEFI at 163 BTC.

Currently, GBTC remains the titan among spot bitcoin ETFs by reserve size, with a holding of 325,686.78 BTC. Including GBTC with the aforementioned ten, the aggregate surges to an impressive total of ​​845,127 BTC, valued at $60.63 billion. At block height 838,324, the circulating supply of bitcoin stands at 19,676,811.74 BTC, indicating that the holdings of these 11 U.S. exchange-traded funds represent 4.29% of the total supply.
